      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Design, develop, and debug software for new and existing products, focusing on reliability applications
      - Collaborate with statisticians and developers to implement statistical methods into production-quality software
      - Conduct applied research and translate statistical theory into practical tools for users
      - Assist in planning and scheduling development tasks while balancing research and implementation
      - Promote newly developed software by presenting at user meetings and conferences

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, focusing on reliability or engineering statistics
      - Demonstrated experience in statistical reliability methods such as life data analysis and degradation modeling
      - Strong programming skills and experience implementing statistical algorithms
      - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team
      - Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic development environment

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with JMP, R, Matlab, or C++
      - Applied experience in engineering or manufacturing settings
      - Experience publishing or presenting research in statistical reliability or related fields
