Managing and developing 3 direct reports
Project Management
Work with external and internal Architects to execute new spaces and minor works , from concept to openings – taking a lead in tender process and con s truction ,
Be main point of contact with all external consultants and contractors involved in a project Architects, documenters, lighting consultants, engineers, building surveyors, etc.
Have an overview of timing and budgets for all new spaces in ANZ region, regularly reporting project status and any risks
Negotiate with landlords when needed to ensure the site is suitable for Aesop store
Design Management
Manage external architects in concept & drawings phases, collate stakeholders’ feedback, procure samples and costings, support in preparation of creative brief
Review concepts and design drawings to ensure design align with Aesop requirements and operational outcomes, as well as identifying any risks to budget and timing.
Localise the design to ensure the commercial and customer requirements are align to architecture of a store
Construction Management
Engage all relevant consultants, to ensure projects are inclusive and compliant – builder surveyors, engineers, etc.
Work with mall landlords, on integration of services into Aesop design – ensure drawings and works schedule fits within Aesop timing and budget expectations.
Work with preferred Aesop contractors and tender process for all new spaces
Prepare tender cost-analysis
Manage the construction from start to opening

Solid e xperience in a similar role including project and construction management
Experience in project managing and delivering retail spaces from tender to opening
Retail design knowledge
Experience leading , motivating and developing a team
Passion for creative and eye for detail , ability to read architect plans and manage them to delivery
A bility to confidently balance and influence stakeholders needs
Strong communicator with desire to deliver the quality outcomes
Proven ability to build genuine r elationships with internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of the ANZ retail landscape and leading practices

Role PurposeAesop are seeking a creative minded and delivery focused ANZ Retail Design and Development Manager to join our Retail team operating with a hybrid working pattern, based at our brand new office in Collingwood.
Reporting to Head of R etail ANZ, Regional Retail Design & Development Manager will lead the function overseeing the delivery of new stores, store refurbishments and maintenance for our ANZ growing portfolio including ~44 stores, 2 corporate offices and a R&D centre .
You will manage a team of Architectural, Maintenance and Projects Coordinators and collaborate with internal and external stakeholder to deliver best outcomes .
