What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Represent the Food and Beverage Manufacturing Company and its products at Retail Grocery Chains and independent stores.
- Ensure 100% distribution of all authorized Food and Beverage Manufacturing Company items within assigned territory accounts.
- Execute weekly sales programs and build displays.
- Conduct retail price checks on company products and competitive brands.
- Continuously merchandise and rotate product on shelves.
- Monitor store rotation of all product lines.
- Maintain and update individual store diaries and route lists.
- Build positive relationships with store employees to increase sales.
- Communicate with retail sales manager to resolve issues.
- Manage company warehouse business at selected Independent accounts in the New England marketplace.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS Degree in business or a related field preferred.
- 1-5 years of sales experience or retail experience with a consumer package goods manufacturer, major food broker, or retail services company desirable but not required.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Presentation skills (building presentations and reporting data) preferred.
- Critical thinking and analytical aptitude.
- Knowledge of utilizing a Data Analysis System (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, etc.) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles.
- Flexibility to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Ability and willingness to lift and stack product weighing up to 40 lbs.
