- Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice)
- Work under the direction and guidance of the OrangeMethod instructors to build well-rounded skillsets in server-side and client-side software engineering
- Proactively view articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations
- Review and discuss code to understand best practices and design patterns
- Increase business acumen by learning about other parts of the business
- This role reports to a Software Engineer Manager or Sr Manager.
- This position has no direct reports.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Ability to commit to a 26-week full-time course (Monday to Friday during business hours).

- Prior experience acting as a Software Engineer II level or higher

Position Purpose:
The Technology Returnship Program is a guided training and role immersion
program to reorient experienced professionals returning to the workforce
after a career interruption. Returnship candidates will be placed in a 12-week skills refresh boot camp. During these 12 weeks , candidates will be given a customized learning plan. After which, you will be placed on a team for an additional 12-week job shadow.
