What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage all aspects of patient billing and collection processing in compliance with departmental policies
- Handle payment posting, cash reconciliation, and refund/credit processing
- Conduct insurance follow-ups and customer service in a call center setting
- Assist with self-pay collections and claim submissions
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of patient demographic and insurance information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment
- Proficient in PC knowledge and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult customers in stressful situations and resolve conflicts independently
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and highly organized
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 6 months or more experience using PCs, websites, and Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for new work
