What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues with insurance companies in a timely manner
- Analyze and manage A/R reports, claims, and correspondence daily
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding payment status of claims
- Update patient demographic information and manage financial hardship adjustments
- Ensure accurate filing of claims and timely responses to refund requests from insurance companies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Less than 3 years of experience in a medical practice, customer service, or revenue cycle department
- Knowledge of medical insurance, managed care plans, and coding systems (CPT, ICD9, ICD10)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret Explanations of Benefits from various insurance providers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification for designated trainer positions and coding roles
- Experience with medical billing and collections in a healthcare setting
