What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support for assigned service lines and perform reviews related to Charge Description Master (CDM) integrity
- Evaluate current charging and coding structures in clinical departments to ensure compliance and revenue capture
- Analyze Epic work/error queue data and perform root cause analysis for identified deficiencies
- Collaborate with various departments on revenue management initiatives and lead moderately complex projects
- Provide guidance and education on correct charge capture, coding, and billing processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years of experience in a hospital setting or within the healthcare industry
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret payor payment policies and billing guidelines
- Advanced skills in Excel and Access required
- Strong customer service and formal presentation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Applicable clinical or professional certifications/licenses such as COC, CPC, or AHIMA-CCS
- Well-developed research skills and strategic thinking with business acumen
- Experience in financial analysis application skills, including database development and report generation
