What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure accurate CPT and ICD-10 documentation for patient billing processes
- Conduct regular reviews of process adherence and identify missing charges
- Provide oversight of charge reconciliation processes for assigned departments
- Educate clinical staff on the importance of accurate and complete documentation
- Review and respond to various quality reports to maintain billing accuracy

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a hospital and/or physician practice environment
- Licensure/certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC or other coding credentials required
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical coding processes
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CHC (Healthcare Compliance Certification) preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly Epic
- Knowledge of clinical documentation improvement processes
- Familiarity with Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) reimbursement structures
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
