      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Ensure accurate CPT and ICD-10 documentation for patient billing processes
      - Educate colleagues and providers on proper documentation and coding practices
      - Conduct regular reviews of charge capture processes and identify missing charges
      - Perform coding functions, including review and approval of charges for accuracy
      - Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance documentation for revenue optimization

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Minimum three (3) years of relevant coding and charge control work experience in a hospital and/or physician practice environment
      - Licensure/certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, or other coding credentials required
      - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical processes, and coding compliance
      - Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of clinical documentation improvement processes
      - Familiarity with Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) reimbursement structures
      - Experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
      - AAPC, AHIMA, or CCSP certification/membership preferred
      - Previous experience working on appeals for insurance denials
