      The Revenue Integrity Specialist contributes and supports Revenue Integrity’s Mission towards creating a multidisciplinary revenue integrity team to strengthen the interface between clinical departments and charge improvement process. The role supports consistent charge capture and reconciliation processes to optimize patient revenue and prevent revenue leakage. It oversees the hospital's Charge Description Master (CDM), collaborating with various departments to maintain accuracy and completeness. This includes chargeable and non-chargeable items across different areas such as pharmacy, surgery, and radiology. The position fosters collaboration between reimbursement, finance, and clinical teams, providing feedback, education, and support for change management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve charging practices. Additionally, it coordinates with both local and central services for payer audit and appeals processes.

      Full time (40 hours)

      No weekends

      Location: Hybrid Model

      Sibley Memorial Hospital, NW, Washington, DC 20016
      Suburban Hospital, 8600 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or healthcare
      • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the hospital setting, healthcare industry, or coding with a focus in one or more of the following areas: charge integrity, charge reconciliation, charge compliance, selected forensic charge reviews, CDM management
