      Description

      POSITION OVERVIEW

      The Rewinder sets up and operates the rewinder machine to perform respooling and confirm quality of product that other departments produce.
      Primary Responsibilities

      Rolls reel to jack from staging area and place in jack

      Strings wire through rewinder machine. Operates machine to control speed of reel

      Guides wire onto new reel to ensure correct placement. Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels

      Monitors processes & controls to assure quality

      Places completed reel in designated location

      Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire. Completes paperwork, record and enter data

      Communicates with supervisors & associates


      Education Requirements

      High school diploma or GED equivalent


      Minimum Experience Required

      Entry level


      License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required

      n/a


      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

      Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices

      Maintains cleanliness of area

      Ability to use of tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer

      Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions

      Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

      Computer literate
