- Acquire land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other necessary documents for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric transmission lines and distribution facilities.
- Prepare, maintain, and revise property owners’ files, right of way maps, records, drawings, exhibits, and progress reports as needed.
- Act as an expert witness and collaborate with legal counsel and project management in selecting witnesses and commissioners for condemnation or other court actions.
- Negotiate with landowners or their representatives for the acquisition of rights related to electric transmission and distribution facilities, and supervise contract agents as needed.
- Settle damage claims with landowners related to property damage during the construction, reconstruction, enlargement, maintenance, or removal of transmission and distribution facilities, and supervise contract agents as required.
- Search courthouse and other records to determine current property ownership and the extent of interests.
- Stay informed about real estate values and accepted real estate appraisal practices; advise and assist in establishing fair market values for land and land rights acquisition.
- Draft and prepare documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, and options to purchase using the Transmission document database (TransROW).
- Conduct and participate in public meetings and informational hearings as necessary.
- Assume additional responsibilities and projects as required, maintaining close communication with personnel.
- Proficiency in Right of Way, Land Acquisition, Negotiation, Deeds, Easements, and Records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Indus Passport, NOVA, Business Objects, Primavera.
- Background in cost control in budgeting and accounting rules.
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, construction management, or related fields such as business, accounting, real estate, contracts, or planning.
- Minimum of two years' experience in acquisition, deeds recording, title research, real estate acquisition, or right of way activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
