What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct specialist Risk Assessment surveys at complex client locations to identify potential hazards and risk factors
- Document findings and recommendations for Account Executives and clients
- Provide consultation to clients on hazard control to mitigate losses and influence implementation of recommendations
- Serve as a technical expert resource to Risk Control Consultants and Underwriters
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory environment and emerging issues in the technical specialist discipline
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in fire science, technical science, engineering discipline, or property fire protection field
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to attain appropriate certification to meet state-specific requirements
- Exceptional technical and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 8 or more years of experience in Property/Highly Protected Risk (HPR)
- Technical training experience
- Strong written communication skills and ability to convey complex information clearly
- Understanding of insurance products, services, and risk selection practices
- Familiarity with relevant Risk Control computer systems applications
