Role Overview:
The Risk Management Manager will be a part of the Regulatory Review & Remediation Function, which resides within Global Regulatory Relations in Global Risk Management. The Risk Management Manager will be responsible for reviewing a subset of regulatory issues (including Matters Requiring Attention) to ensure that regulatory issue owners throughout the enterprise are achieving quality standards, meeting regulatory expectations, and delivering complete evidence packages.
Responsibilities:
• Review work done to close in-scope regulatory issues through challenging remediation activities, evaluating control design for sustainability, and improving deliverables and/or documentation before Corporate Audit and Regulatory review
• Partner with Reg Issues Strategy & Enablement Executive and the Reg Issue Portfolio Executive to help issue owners to move an issue through the steps necessary to remediate on time, including timely completion of review activities.
• Revise, create (as needed) and maintain templates and other documentation that achieve greater consistency for all in-scope, in-line review activities.
• Provide effective challenge to issue owners regarding issue remediation planning, execution, and evidence packaging to ensure they are robust and address issue in question.
• Communicate findings to issue owners, Internal Audit, and the Reg Review & Remediation Team Leads, and provide recommendations/escalation of broad themes and trends accordingly based on findings.
• Develop communications to keep stakeholder informed of progress and changes to processes.
• Help to ensure that learnings from review and remediation efforts are documented and incorporated into relevant training, processes, procedures, and templates.Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in issue management or governance/strategic reporting roles
• Advanced understanding of issue management policies, standards, reporting and processes
• Significant business knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness, with a desire to grow, learn, and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
• Self-starter with excellent anticipation skills; problem solving; follow up
• Proven process design and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of Bank of America’s business lines, operations, organizational structure, senior executives, etc.
• Effectively packages and communicates complex content and information.
• Can effectively navigate and deliver results in highly matrixed environment within Global Risk and beyond.
