      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform medical record reviews for documentation completeness and accuracy
      - Identify opportunities for improved physician and hospital outcomes
      - Communicate with providers to clarify documentation representing severity of illness
      - Serve as a resource for healthcare team members to facilitate comprehensive documentation
      - Support coders in obtaining necessary information for accurate DRG assignment

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      - Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with minimal supervision
      - Current registered nurse license in the state of practice or a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in lieu of an RN License
      - Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of complex disease processes
      - Effective verbal and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in an inpatient healthcare setting
      - Proficiency with Windows-style applications and specific software relevant to the role
      - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
      - Familiarity with clinical documentation improvement processes
