      • 4, 10-hour shifts
      • 6:30am-5:00pm

      NO CALL

      $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS

      Responsibilities

      • Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate teaching and making the necessary referrals to provide continuity of care.
      • Develops an individual plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and health care team.
      • Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care.
      • Assess and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient’s and their families’ age specific needs, culture, gender, readiness to learn and level of comprehension.
      • Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
      • Demonstrates and maintains proficiency in the manual skills and techniques required to operate specialized equipment in the Electrophysiology lab including, but not limited to the following:
        • Point of care testing: activated clotting times (ACT), oxygen analysis
        • EP specific monitoring system
        • EP procedure equipment/supplies
        • Cautery
        • Anesthesia equipment
        • Pacemaker/defibrillator equipment/supplies
        • Aseptic technique
        • Advanced Hemodynamic monitoring

      Qualifications

      Requirements:

      • Diploma from an RN program.
      • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
      • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Sedation Certification within orientation period.
      • Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities.

      Preferred:

      • Eletrophysiology and/or Cath Lab experience.
      • Strong knoweldge of cardiac anatomy, rhythm interpretation and EP prodedural support.
