      0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period
      Shifts between 7:30 am- 5 pm, with occasional late stay
      No weekends or holidays

      Position Overview:

      The Clinic RN is responsible for the care of clinic patients. The Clinic RN is skilled in all aspects of nursing process, delegates and supervises staff in assistive roles on the same shift and is responsible to deliver the highest of customer service standards for patients and families presenting for services at Winona Health. The Clinic RN will assess and triage patients to make certain of the appropriateness of care. Will provide patient care including but not limited to rooming of patients, performing assessments and gathering of data for the physician. Patient information will be entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Direct patient care will include but is not limited to taking vital signs, medication administration, treatments, IV's, monitoring of patients, scheduling and coordination of care for referred for specialty care and general assistance to the provider as needed. Other responsibilities may include phlebotomy and performing laboratory testing. Must be able to assist at all Winona Health Clinic locations if necessary.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

      Specific to Women’s Health RN:

      • Perform non-stress tests on pregnant patients as ordered.
      • Provide first & third trimester education.
      • Oversee LPNs in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
      • Comprehensive assessment of patients.
      • Triage presenting patients for appropriateness of care.
      • Take vital signs and monitor patients.
      • Administration of medications, IVs, and immunizations as ordered.
      • Implement protocols/orders after appropriate assessments.
      • Assist with surgical procedures, monitoring, and assessments of sedated patients.
      • Insertion and DC’ing IVs, administering fluids and medications as ordered.
      • Inputting of all applicable data into the EMR (Cerner).
      • Contact patients with lab results and medication changes as ordered by the physician.
      • Coordinate schedules, procedures, and supplies.
      • Coordinate and schedule care for patients referred for specialty care.
      • Scheduling of surgery or diagnostic studies.
      • Coordinate nurse schedule with physician schedule in clinic and/or operating room (OR).
      • Ensuring nursing supplies and medications are properly ordered and available.

      Essential Skills and Experience:

      Required:

      • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
      • Current Minnesota RN license or ability to obtain.
      • Basic Life Support.
      • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

      Preferred:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
      • Knowledge of basic fetal monitoring preferred.
