      JOB SUMMARY:

      The Rocket League Coach will work closely with the Esports Coordinator, the Associate Athletic Director, and the Varsity Student-Athletes to facilitate a positive environment focused on improvement and competitive integrity in the inter-collegiate Rocket League competitions that Post University competes in. The Rocket League Coach will be expected to attend every team practice and match for both Rocket League teams, in addition to developing a practice routine and schedule. They will assist the Esports Coordinator and the Rocket League Team Captains in preparing and scheduling their weekly matches and scrims. They will also assist the Esports Coordinator in organizing tryouts at the beginning of each semester, selecting the starting roster and the team captains. The Rocket League Coach is expected to be a pillar of good sportsmanship and game knowledge and a role model for all Post University Esports players. The Rocket League Coach will be responsible for assisting the Esports Coordinator in enforcing the Esports Player Code of Conduct in the event any student violates the Code of Conduct. The Rocket League Coach is also expected to attend any other meetings as required by the Esports Coordinator or the Associate Athletic Director.

      This position is part-time, seasonal, and remote. Seasons run from January to April and August to mid-December. The Rocket League Coach will be expected to work most nights, Monday-Friday, during the seasons. It is a stipend-paid per-season role.


      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      -Attend Rocket League Team practices -Attend Rocket League Team matches

      -Develop a practice schedule and routine for the Rocket League teams

      -Enforce and monitor students’ compliance with the Esports Player Code of Conduct -Assist with internal and external player recruitment

      -Organize Rocket League tryouts before each semester -Attend any other meetings as required

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

      -Bachelor’s degree in Gaming & Esports Management preferred

      -High competitive rank in Rocket League -Experience competing on high-level professional, amateur, or collegiate Rocket League teams

      -Previous Esports Coaching experience in Rocket League

      -Must possess a working knowledge of Discord, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and Outlook

      -Responsive with excellent verbal and written communication skills

      SALARY: $5,000.00 stipend per season
