What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review requestor information to determine records to be released, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Handle phone calls and inquiries regarding Release of Information (ROI) issues
- Process walk-in requests for medical records and log information into the ROI On-Line database
- Manage and record cash payments for requests at specified sites, if necessary
- Scan and log medical record requests into the ROI On-Line database

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems
- Strong verbal communication skills with a proven track record of responding to customer inquiries
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or Health Information Management (HIM) department
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
