What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process Release of Information (ROI) requests in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Answer phone calls and address various ROI inquiries from clients
- Log and manage medical record requests in the ROI On-Line database
- Scan and archive medical records digitally
- Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems
- Strong verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently and meet established production goals
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in Release of Information at a physician's office or Health Information Management (HIM) Department
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
