What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process release of information requests accurately and efficiently
- Validate requests and authorizations for medical information release
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and problems
- Maintain equipment and work area in excellent condition
- Adhere to client/site policies, including HIPAA and state/federal regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma (GED) required
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting
- Strong computer software experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to type 50 wpm and use fax, copier, scanning machine
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related service setting
- Strong customer satisfaction skills
- Ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly
