      Description:

      As an HIM/ROI specialist, you will be responsible for completing requests for release of medical records by examining both electronic and paper-based records to determine type of document, scope of authorization and legality of release.

      Additional details:

      • Review requests, establishes legitimacy and carries out the delivery of information according to policy and procedures.

      • Gains confidence and cooperation from peers and supervisors through effective communication and competent job performance.

      • Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, policies and procedures to ensure patient privacy is protected at all times.

      • Health Information Management processing Release of Information requests

      • The HIM/ROI Specialist is responsible for the facilities health record integrity associated with the following HIM processes record scanning, record analysis, deficiency monitoring, releasing patient information, master patient index and/or registry maintenance

      • Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience

      • Daily retrieval of medical records

      • Perform timely daily prepping and scanning of the patient medical record

      • Performs quality audits verifying the accuracy of the legal medical record, navigating between multiple medical systems to verify the completeness of the medical records
