  Rixos Qetaifan Island North

  Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

  Safety and Security Manager

  This position is responsible to oversee the security operations at the waterpark, develop security strategies, implement security procedures and supervise security officers and guards.

  What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures of the waterpark
  • To liaise with local authorities in order to identify activities that may affect the operation of the waterpark such as seasonal events, current community crime trends, political activism and other, and to share any such concerns with superiors.
  • To control access to crime/natural disaster scenes in order to preserve evidence while awaiting the arrival of authorities
  • To attend to reports and to follow-up on all reported guest disturbances, or alleged theft incidents ensuring that the established policies and procedures to be followed
  • To conduct special investigation on high profile security matters and to prepare reports for managements review
  • Ensure that waterpark is in compliance with all local safety regulations and is conversant with waterpark emergency procedures
  • Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews and key control audit
  • Maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information to authorized individuals
  • Control and direct all emergency personnel traffic in response to fire, bomb threat, police assistance, injury or illness
  • Always be on-call including off-duty hours for any emergency that may arise

  Other Responsibilities

  • Be fully conversant with waterpark fire & life safety/emergency procedures
  • Comply with waterpark and department policies and procedures at all times
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
  • Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management

  Safety, Quality & Environment Responsibilities:

  • Know and applies Accor APACHE security and evacuation procedures (in case of fire, etc.)
  • Ensures the safety of the people and property within the office
  • Applies the ISO 9001/14001 quality certification requirements that impact his/her role
  • Adhere and support Accor’s commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.) as well as Accor’s Planet 21 Charter and Commitments as applicable to the role
  • Monitor and oversight of Quality performances of your respective departments and teams following set annual objectives

  Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential; customer related experience an asset
  • Minimum 2 years security industry experience
  • SIA trained and licensed
  • Certificates in National Skills Recognition System, CPR, First Aid Management and Basic Fire Fighting
  • Excellent proficiency in English language
  • No criminal record
