Monitor, evaluate, and review SHE policy and practice, making recommendations and implementing new policies and procedures suitable to comply with ISO standards.
Provide specialist advice, coaching, and practical support to managers in maintaining safe systems.
Provide support, leadership and guidance for Business continuity activities and resources.
Provide expertise and guidance in line with Group and local legislation and best practices.
Maintain compliance with legal and corporate Business continuity, safety and environmental requirements.
Assess existing and emerging SHE risks to protect employees, customers, and the organization.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to educate and ensure continued protection.
Improve the maturity of health risk assessments and management, with focus on psychosocial risks.
Manage the Environmental and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001 and 14001) and support the ISO 22301 certification.
Assist with the implementation of global digital systems for SHE management.
Streamline processes and create a unified approach in alignment with affiliates and global policies.
Proactively participate in company projects to ensure proper management of H&S.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to engage different departments and stakeholders in health and safety discussions and improvements.
Identify threats and opportunities impacting operations and implement mitigation plans.
Manage and update SHE systems with the latest information.
Manage contractors.
Promoting a safety culture by encouraging employee participation and engagement in health and safety initiatives.
Regularly review and improve Risk Assessments, including COSHH.
Identify and address employee training needs, delivering appropriate training as required.
Make data-driven decisions using facts, metrics, and data to align with goals and initiatives.
Coordinate safety inspections, fire drills and risk assessments and ensure proper reporting of procedures to maintain safe working conditions.
Conduct relevant SHE onboarding for new employees, including induction, system integration, and provision of necessary safety information.
Manage the Biosafety program and maintain record keeping according to Roche global standard.
Act as a First Aider, Mental First Aider, and Fire Marshal.
Thoroughly investigate accidents and non-compliance issues, implementing corrective actions.
Produce quarterly updates on SHE performance for management review.
Utilize the Global Enablon Risk Management system for legal register, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
Act as SME for Internal Audits.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health and safety programs.
Recognised high level H&S or Environmental Qualification.
Demonstration of CPD.
Accreditation by an approved HSE associated (e.g. IOSH) (Preferred)
Demonstrable experience working in SHE, medical/healthcare industry experience preferable..
Interpreting and implementing local, regional, and national H&S regulations and best practice.
ISO 45001 or ISO 14001, and implementation of relevant management systems.
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments, including hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
Conducting thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
Designing, developing, and implementing effective safety programs, policies and procedures.
H&S training to employees at various levels engagement skills
Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of online systems.
Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and best practice.
Understanding a the requirements of ISO standards and Management systems.
