- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- 0-3 years’ experience analyzing sales data.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results while prioritizing multiple projects and dealing with numerous interruptions.
- Experience in evaluating and analyzing retail point of sale data and summary reports.
- Working knowledge of demand planning/supply chain management techniques.
- Ability to travel (estimated 5-10%)
- Experience working within a retail environment and with retail merchandise buyers preferred.
- Collect and analyze category sales trends and product movements.
- Review customer sales data and develop reports designed to identify sales trends and assist the sales team in product assortment planning and management.
- Develop product and material movement forecasts in an effort to meet service goals for inventory turns and replenishment.
- Assist in development and presentation of PowerPoint or other presentation materials for key customers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor product mix and sales by product type and region. Propose changes based on sales reporting or other key analytics.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly summaries of point-of-sale and develop recommendations to increase sales growth and maximize the impact of advertising and promotional activities.
- Provide competitive retail pricing assessments and analysis.
- Periodically participate in customer events, trade shows, store walks, contractor events or other related sales events as requested.
- Monitor and report weekly goals to meet the requirements of and enhancement to the vendor scorecard for internet and traditional brick and mortar retail sales.
- Assist in the attainment of goals in the areas of customer service, customer communication, order entry and distribution.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Sales Analyst I develops reports and monitors trends that assist in managing product assortment, inventory, forecasting, pricing and promotional activities for key external customer accounts. Primary objective is to support business goals and achieve maximum sales growth and customer satisfaction.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Fort Smith, AR.
