Sales & Trading Assistant
LondonAs a Barclays Sales & Trading Assistant, you will work within our Global Markets business covering the Macro franchise. You will manage specific trade management and related functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and maintain a high degree of accuracy around trade capture, which is crucial to the firm's risk management and accurate books and records. This involves entering and accepting the economic terms of any trades, inclusive of subsequent Risk Modifying Activities, encompassing a broad range of Trade Capture activity.

What will you be doing?
• Providing primary support to FX & Structured Rates Trading & Sales, this role is based on the trading floor
• Conducting timely and accurate Risk Modifying Activities; Trade Capture, Post Trade Activities, and Position Changes
• Covering various products; FX Spot, FX Forwards, NDFs, FX Options, FX Exotic Options, FX Structured Notes, & Structured Rates Derivatives
• Liaising with internal counterparts regarding exception and query management
• Adhering to a ‘right first time’ policy on all risk modifying activities
• Providing timely and accurate portfolio compression pricing, analysis, execution co-ordination and processing
• Proactively identifying, raising, and testing improvements for all BAU processes
• Seeking cross-training opportunities for all functions performed within the team and across the wider departmentWhat we’re looking for:
• Significant experience in an operational environment
• Knowledge of Markets (Interest Rate Derivatives, FX)
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in one of the following subjects; Mathematics/Computer Science/Business/Finance
• A good knowledge of the Front to Back lifecycle of a trade and its associated risks to the firm and to clientsSkills that will help you in the role:
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Solid knowledge of VBA, SQL or Python
• Experience gained in high volume and client focused environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skillsWhere will you be working?
