      Description

      The Sales Director - Retail drives strategy and revenue generation at a national scale. This position focuses on driving the growth and development of our retail channel within the OWS Foods portfolio of products via increased distribution and programming, innovative custom product development & cross functional collaboration. Product management & consultative

      customer engagement are key to role success.

      The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the natural channel of delivering profitable results through increased distribution & managing a trade spend budget across branded and private label products. This person will have relationships in place at key retailers to expedite wins in market. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative company.

      Requirements

      Essential Functions:
      • Grow topline revenue, profit, and market share by proactively identifying strategic and long-term growth opportunities for branded and private label in our retail channel
      • Develop new account customers within the channel
      • Manage overall trade and A&P budget to ensure profitability targets are met
      • Analyze syndicated data and incorporate that information in discussions and presentations to secure business and favorable margins with key accounts.
      • Understand market dynamics, industry-specific trends, and landscapes to bring new insights and solutions to grow sustainable business results
      • Lead, empower and mobilize independent manufacturer rep groups around distribution, execution, and implementation of the sales strategy
      • Be the liaison between national sales and regional execution and simultaneously help develop a culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, and delivering results
      • Travel up to 50% of the time will be required, focused on new business

      Position Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree
      • 5 years minimum CPG sales leadership experience
      • Experience achieving monthly, quarterly, annual volume and revenue targets
      • Trade spend and deduction management
      • Demonstrated success selling to retailers both national and regional, through direct and distributor channels
      • Lead and train broker network on OWS capabilities
      • Efficiency in leveraging a CRM tool, Pipedrive.
      • Proficient in Excel, Work & PowerPoint
      • Home office or remote office location
      • Up to 50% national travel required
