      Axis has something great to offer! We are now looking for a S ales Engineer to join our Southern Europe team as a Sales Engineer, remotely based in Rome, Italy.

      WHAT WILL YOU DO?
      As a Sales Engineer your role contributes to the business gro wth by being responsible for all technical aspects with to p sy stem integrator, large end customers a nd consul tants in close collaboration with the Sales team for the Center - S o u th te rritory of Italy . You will be accountable for def ining the best solutions to increase the business on targeted partners and end customers . Your role in the organization is to develop tec hnical complex projects together with different intern al departments and support the growth of our business in the country. As part of the role, you will also own responsibility for defining and executing the Axis A&E program in Italy , aligning the approach and messaging with the entire region's wider business objectives . You will collaborate closely with the sales department, the sales-engineering department, marketing and HQ.


      The responsibilities include field, inter-departmental and direct partner an d customer proactive approach . The role is also responsible for educating about Axis products and solutions, presenting the benefits of Axis to important decision makers in order to develop a relationship as trusted advisor for these selected accounts.


      Apart from above mentioned tasks it will be your job to:

      Design the best solution for each project, by understanding the need from the end customer , A&E Consultant and/or System Integrator perspective.
      Always act as a trusted technical advisor both internal and externally.
      Influence on large tender s and RFP/RFQ process with the market
      Responsible to develop and present Axis solutions with high technical standards.
      Define together with the related Key A ccount M anager the best strategy to better position Axis at all levels in the territory .
      Be accountable to maintain and develop contact with technical decision makers from large corporations (system integrators and end customers).
      Learn, keep updated, and collaborate with local and global technology partners ( TIP Techn ology Integra tion Partners ).
      Understand the full solutions, not only the Axis products , but also complementary, such as: networking (high level), analytics, software, hardware and services
      Understand competitive landscape for each solution and follow-up each project with the technical customers.
      Promote pilots and proof of concept implementations.
      Autonomous professional with great sense of timings and a proactive mindset
      Follow the internal training program to keep being always updated with the latest technologies, products and solutions.


      WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
      We are looking for a focused and self-motivated team player with a technical background within IT and/or Physical Security . You will have the ability to hold inspiring presentations and demonstrations and to build strategic and trustworthy relationships at all levels.

      You will have experience in pre-sales, B2B technical project- based work within the security market, alternatively within the IT channel and have knowledge in network technologies and applications. You will have the technical confidence to setup and demonstrate complex solutions within Network surveillance and solutions. Knowledge of VMS software is advantageous . You are used to complex project management in a fast-paced environment. You possess good analytical and organisational skills. Finally, you are creative, curious, and passionate for technology.

      Apart from this you have the following qualifications and experience:

      Degree in computer science or engineering will be preferred
      Minimum of 5 years on a technical position in the IT or physical security market
      Experience working in a c ustomer facing role
      Knowledge within B2B market
      Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written
      Knowledge in network infrastructure is a plus


      As a member of our enthusiastic Southern Europe (France, Italy, Israel, Spain and Portugal), you will report to the Regional Sales Engineering and Technical Training Manager.

      The role involves some domestic traveling and some int ernational travels to the HQ in Lund, Sweden o r within the region .
