- 3 years of sales experience in the beer or beverage industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of the local market and experience with the three tier system
- In depth knowledge of, and direct experience in, the craft beer scene in Austin, TX
- A proven track record to work efficiently with little day-to-day supervision and ability conduct self with professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Assist in sales and obtain orders for accounts in conjunction with distributor.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with On Premise accounts in sales area.
- Sell in and conduct training programs with retailers, restaurateurs, and consumers on all aspects of Pinthouse Beer.
- Assist in implementing key brewery initiatives with distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs in area.
- Conduct required in-field work with sessions with distributor representatives.
- Ensure that the Brewery’s quality standards are clearly understood and enforced by distributors and retailers.
- Use data systems provided to identify opportunities for new or expanded distribution, lost sales, incremental volume increases, and other business insights.
- Demonstrate knowledge in overseeing and managing a personal and professional calendar, with particular attention to balancing multiple deadlines at any given time.
- Responsible to turn in weekly recap in a timely manner.
- Review and understand all legal restrictions regarding Brewery product in each market and ensure all initiatives are executed within those limitations.
- Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend, evening and extended workdays are necessary.
- Hosting retailer partners at the brewery once a month for tours, staff education opportunities.
- Travel is required.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Regularly require to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
- Ability to travel via car on a regular basis.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 185 lbs.
Summary
We are are looking for a passionate and self-motivated industry professional to help us spread the gospel of Pinthouse here in Austin. This individual will help us maintain and build relationships with current and potential retailers of Pinthouse products. This individual will assist in all brewery sales initiatives through daily account visits, evening promotions, festivals and samplings of our beers in the greater Austin area.
