Develop new partnerships to grow the munitions business in commercial markets

Melbourne, Benalla or Mulwala based – manufacturing sites are in Benalla and Mulwala
Manage existing domestic and international commercial munitions, customer contracts and accounts
Develop accurate forecasts of customer product requirements
Cultivate existing commercial customer accounts and relationships to deliver munitions
Capture new non-ADF production opportunities for Australian Munitions, and grow the munitions distribution network globally
Act as the primary Point of Contact for customer issues and manage enquiries for the AM and commercial product portfolios
Extensive experience in Sales Management practices
Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement and management skills
Clear and influential verbal and written communication
A willingness to learn the requirements of Australian Munitions and develop an understanding of the products we manufacture

About the role
Part of Thales Australia, Australian Munitions (AM) is the largest domestic manufacturer of explosive ordnance to the Australian Defence Force (ADF), with a successful track record delivering ammunition, propellants, explosives and related services including acid production and industrial waste treatment to Defence and commercial markets.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, The Sales Manager is responsible in maintaining non-ADF customer accounts, and growing non-ADF munitions, in various market segments of order intake. Work within a close sales team to strengthen our position in commercial markets.
