      Role Purpose:

      For Turkey, Borealis is looking for an ambitious and self-disciplined Sales Person with growth potential for its mobility business, to be located in the Western Turkey, in the center of the automotive industry Istanbul-Bursa-Izmir.
      The role holder will be guided by the Head of Sales EMEA Mobility and will be expected to develop and deliver to target for their sales area responsibility and develop individual strategies per customer in alignment with the prevailing business ambition.



      The role holder will grow polyolefin volumes and margins and optimize the customer grade mix, managing a range of commercial activities:

      • Sales forecasting and planning
      • Regular good quality reporting (visit reports)
      • Customer plans and action tracking
      • Customer acquisition; managing customer relationships, leading customer negotiations
      • Sales execution
      • Management of price and commercial conditions
      • Manage overdues and assigned credit lines
      • Secure new projects in collaboration with Tiers and OEMs
      • Expand the commercial relationship with Tofaş, Renault, Ford Otosan, Hyundai, Toyota and Togg in close collaboration with the responsible Borealis OEM manager

      Area of responsibility:

      Develops clear strategies and targets (volume, price, profit, segments) in line with the Mobility strategy, for assigned customers.

      • Pro-active prospecting and acquisition of new business in the designated territories.
      • Effectively uses defined sales tools to articulate, communicate and deliver upon defined sales strategies.
      • Provides accurate input for forecasting and operational planning to satisfy customer requirements and optimise the overall business.
      • Plans and conducts negotiations, based on a sound understanding of relevant factors in customers' decision making, value propositions and market dynamics.
      • Sells products and services based on defined value propositions and customer interaction models, driving volume growth at optimised margins; focuses on value selling based upon insight into the customer's or end-user's perceived value of Borealis products versus competitive offering.
      • Proactively addresses structurally unprofitable business; continuously optimises customer profitability by active price management, using available tools.
      • Fosters open, timely communication and cooperation between customer team members, ensuring a high level of performance and team unity
      • Develops and sustains customer relations at all relevant levels to improve the commercial position, identify customer requirements and deliver on commercial plans and targets
      • Follows up with customers on Borealis performance and develops mitigation actions.
      • Capable of basic technical interpretation of customer product/processing related feedback and development opportunities.

      About you

      Requirements for this position:

      • Master degree in Engineering or Chemistry / Polymer Science
      • Broad background within the automotive industry, with ideally minimum 5 years commercial (sales or procurement)experience
      • Advanced Turkish and English language skills in speaking and writing
      • Ability to acquire new customers in addition to managing existing commercial relationships
      • Strong communications and negotiation skills
      • Good balance between strategic think and ability to close deals
      • Open minded, flexible with strong self-confidence and stress resilience, combined with the ability to work as part of a pan European remote team
      • Ability to manage his/her market with autonomy ( remote management)
      • Well organized, self driven, consistent with given tasks and time management
      • Attention to safety and ethics as key Borealis core values
      • Capable of influencing opinion without authority
      • Location Western Turkey, home office based
      • Passenger car driver’s license
