- 7 or more years of any combination of post-high school hospitality education and hospitality sales experience, including one year of supervising sales staff. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related preferred.
- 5 or more years of advanced Microsoft Office products and catering software management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including exceptional verbal and written communication with ability to interact with a diverse group of people.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of safety and fire codes as well as other regulatory and compliance necessary for group and convention center events.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with good driving record and reliable transportation.

Job Overview: The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Sale Executives to meet or exceed group sales targets through promotion of Mystic Lake Center event spaces, gaming, hotel, food, entertainment, brand and other amenities while remaining focused on business goals. The role will serve as a key resource for the Account Executives. The Sales Manager will drive profitable business growth for the Enterprise through managing the sales process, support the negotiating and closing sales with focus on organizations with meetings and conventions, tradeshows, exhibitions with guestroom as well as guestroom blocks with no events. The Sales Manager will support their team by guiding through the entire sales process from prospecting selling, closing and contracting events to ensure that profit/revenue goals are met, and established standards of quality and service are maintained.
