Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow.

      Sales Manager
      Atlas Copco Rental Europe

      Job description:

As our Sales Manager, you are in charge of expanding, and streamlining, our sales activities throughout Europe. Your expertise and knowledge make you a vital piece of the “Total Solution” puzzle and Atlas Copco’s “First in mind – First in choice ® ” strategy.

      A closer look:

In your new role as Sales Manager, you are part of the European Management Team and report to the General Manager. You, in turn, are in the key position where you support the regional Sales Managers and Sales Teams who depend on you to improve commercial efforts and safeguard Atlas Copco Rental Europe’s sustainable profitable growth.

While our Sales Teams handle local customer relations, orders, lead generation, CRM tools, and other requirements, you are integral to managing lasting relationships, both internally and externally. You will be working on commercial analysis and spotting opportunities, as well as empowering others with your in-the-field knowledge through online and in-class training sessions. You will promote and launch products and stimulate the correct use of Sales Force and data usage. It’s all part of your (dream?) job. You are the key to open new doors of commercial success for Atlas Copco Rental Europe, which is a dynamic and rapidly growing division of the Atlas Copco Group.

      In summary:

      You ...

      • Analyze markets and look for opportunities in all directions. Applications, industries, territories and business lines.
      • Support all sales throughout Europe.
      • Visit (key) customers regularly.
      • Play an active role in price management.
      • Give commercial training.
      • Advocate correct CRM and data usage.
      • Support acquisition strategy and look for opportunities.
      • Support regional and local commercial activities
      • Continuously evolve customer experience by increasing reliability, first time right and digital interaction, while decreasing unintentional touch points.
      • Collect and implement the best practices related to Sales processes

The right person for the job:

Sales and/or other management experience in a large organization is essential. Relevant sales experience is definitely a must because we look for a “lead by example” type of Sales Manager. And while your university degree (or similar level through experience) is important, we also look for what are called "soft skills." You work with people from different backgrounds, both professionally and culturally. EQ, people management, communication, critical thinking, working both in a team and independently, adaptability, etc. You have to be fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch or other European language(s) are definitely an added bonus.

      In summary:

      You ...

      • Think commercially and the customer is your focus.
      • Are a problem-solver.
      • Commit yourself to deliver quality support to achieve sustainable profitable growth.
      • Are an excellent communicator and team player.
      • Will travel in Europe regularly.
      • Spot and grab opportunities (like applying for this job).
      • Engage and motivate people in different cultures and you empower those around you.

A final note: "Diversity and inclusion" is essential to our organization. Don’t let anything stop you from applying. You are our ideal candidate.

Diverse by nature and inclusive by choice
Bright ideas come from all of us. The more unique perspectives we embrace, the more innovative we are. Together we build a culture where difference is valued and we share a deep sense of purpose and belonging.
