      JOB TITLE: Sales Support Analyst

      DEPARTMENT NAME: Brand Sales

      LOCATION: Carmel, IN Headquarters/East Coast Remote Possibility

      REPORTS TO: Sr. Director, National Sales

      STATUS: Full-Time

      As a Sales Support Analyst, supporting the Splenda brand sales team, you will play a key role in analyzing sales performance, market trends, and customer behavior as well as providing inputs into Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems, utilizing analytics for creating and updating forecasts, maintaining product decks, and selling material workbooks. You will develop and maintain tools to help the sales team drive business growth with major food, mass, specialty, and drug retailers. The role collaborates with sales leadership, marketing, design team, commercialization, and category management. You will be attending presentations to build customer relationship skills. This role provides a strong foundation for promotion into a Key Account Manager (KAM) position, where you will manage customer relationships and strategic sales initiatives.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Sales Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify key trends and opportunities
      • Retail Insights: Report out on Splenda’s base and promotional performance across retailers
      • Category & Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors to help refine Splenda’s sales strategies at key retailers
      • Promotional Effectiveness: Evaluate trade promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns to optimize return on investment (ROI).
      • Forecasting & Planning: Assist in sales forecasting and demand planning
      • CRM & Reporting: Maintain customer promotions and forecasts in TPM systems like Telus to support account managers.
      • Sales Tools: Create and update sales product deck information, product one pagers and broker portal inputs
      • Sales Team Support: Work with KAMs and sales leadership to prepare for retailer meetings.

      Skills & Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
      • Analytical skills and experience with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
      • Familiarity with sales data platforms like NielsenIQ, IRI, or SPINS (a plus).
      • Comfortable with learning CRM and TPM tools (Salesforce, T) preferred.
      • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
      • Passion for consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and the food industry.
      • Available for occasional travel for account calls and sales meetings.

      Career Progression to Key Account Manager (KAM) – Splenda Brand

      After 1–3 years as a Sales Analyst, you have the potential to transition into a Key Account Manager (KAM) role, where you will manage major retail or foodservice accounts.

      How to Advance:

      • Develop a deep understanding of Splenda’s product portfolio and competitive landscape.
      • Build relationships with key buyers and sales teams at major retailers.
      • Demonstrate strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
      • Gain exposure to pricing strategy, trade marketing, and customer negotiations.
      • Take on additional responsibilities in customer presentations and sales pitches.

      Physical Demands:

      • Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
      • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and interact with computers, telephone and other electronic media
      • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
      • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
