- Participates in the sales and marketing strategies for McColls Health Care Center, plus sales coverage for all Bankers Hill communities one weekend per month.
- Maintains census by conducting tours, making telephone calls, having personal contacts with potential residents and industry professionals.
- Screening and admitting appropriate Residents at the approved fee rates, coordinating the admissions approval with the St. Paul’s Administrators, Nursing Supervisors. This may include assistance with in-house moves and transfers between St. Paul’s facilities.
- The McColls Sales Specialist will be provided with a set of annual sales and outreach goals. The Sales Specialist is ultimately responsible for meeting monthly sales and outreach/marketing goals.
- Assists with the planning of specific Marketing and Public Relations events for St. Paul's contributing to the overall marketing strategies for St. Paul's Services, including health fairs, networking and relationship marketing.
- Maintains statistical and marketing data and reports for review with St. Paul’s Sales Supervisor, Administrators, CEO, COO, CFO and Corporate Marketing Director.
- Maintains and develops a leads list using computer software and generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports of activities for review with St. Paul’s Sales Supervisor, Administrators, CEO, COO, CFO and Corporate Marketing Director.
- Must be able to work up to two weekend days per month to cover admissions duties on the St. Paul’s campus. May be required to work after normal business hours to provide tours, move-ins, etc for families or to support the Outreach efforts.
- Interfaces effectively with the Facilities Department, maintenance and housekeeping, to ensure that rooms are refurbished in a timely manner and in the most effective sequence.
- Attends all staff, marketing, community relations and other meetings as requested by St. Paul’s Sales Supervisor, Administrators, CEO, COO, CFO and Corporate Marketing Director. Attendance needs to include a positive and proactive contribution to the meeting's goals and process.
- Participates as part of St. Paul's team in new program development, problem solving and ensuring that Resident satisfaction is achieved through appropriate channels.
- Participates in the development of the Admission's department budget and reviews, as required, departmental financial statements and reports.
- Coordinates the processing of admission monies and ensures correct and timely billings to Residents, including additional service charges in coordination with the Finance Department.
- Adhere to the sales manual by reading and making recommendations about protocols.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Admissions Supervisor, Corporate Marketing Director, COO or CEO.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented, and computer literate in Outlook and customer relationship software (data based and sales tools).
- Must have at least 2 years of sales experience in the San Diego senior care community and 1 year within the Skilled Nursing field required.
- ESIN (Extended Care Information Network) experience required.
- Must have a proven track record for networking and building relationships that result in sales.
- Medical background preferred, the ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of medical terms used in a skilled nursing environment.
- Working knowledge and procedural understand of medical insurance such as Medicare, Medi-cal etc.
- College degree in business or marketing highly preferred – or equivalent experience.
