      Job Purpose

      The Sales Support Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing guidance for Design Consultant resolution of post-sale issues. This individual serves as a liaison between other departments and the design consultant as it relates to that resolution.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities

      1. Reviewing and processing post-sale documents.

      2. Overseeing the completion of outstanding order tasks.

      3. Navigating and resolving post-sale problems between Furnitureland South clients and design consultants when an escalation occurs.

      4. Assisting design consultants with the closing of a sale through overrides, price negotiations, and any order entry system-related issues.

      5. Taking on some sales manager responsibilities when there is not one available including handling cash deposits, working with a design consultant to help close a sale, and counseling for job-related functions.

      Required Education and Experience

      A bachelor's degree from an accredited University and two to four years of sales or sales management experience, or five years furniture sales / sales management experience. Experience with Net Suite Software a plus.

      Working Conditions

      This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. The job is primarily sedentary with the majority of the day spent at the computer.

      Physical Requirements

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This job can also require the ability to be able to traverse the Showroom, Mart, Outlet and Distribution Center occasionally to inspect and photograph furniture.
