What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a primary contact for sales staff and brokers during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
- Discuss and recommend plan design and rate options with sales staff and underwriters
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sales representatives, underwriters, and brokers
- Generate and manage proposals by applying market information and internal guidelines
- Participate in projects aimed at improving rating quality and efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in business or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Group Insurance, preferably in underwriting or sales support
- Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills
- Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, along with intermediate math/analytical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a fast-paced operational area such as claims or a call center
- Strong consultative, negotiation, and influencing skills with a sales orientation
- Ability to handle challenging priorities while maintaining excellent time management
