      Job Description

      Eurofins Environment Testing- North Central is seeking a Sample Login Specialist to join their sample management team!

      The Sample Login Department is the first team to come into contact with the water and soil samples sent to our lab. As a Sample Login Specialist you will be assigned with running tests of these soil and water samples. as well as the initial receipt of the samples, unloading and matching to ensure that the corresponding data is entered correctly in our tracking system. This role involves a combination of physically active work and computer work.

      Sample Login Specialist responsibilities include:

      • Receiving and unloading incoming shipments
      • Verifying that documents are accurate, complete, and correct and seeks resolution for those that are not.
      • Logging samples into Lab Management System daily.
      • Labeling samples and assigning and delivering samples to appropriate departments for analysis daily.
      • Disposing of spent samples, waste and other potentially hazardous materials according to procedure.
      • Monitoring freezer and cooler temperatures daily to make sure they stay within range.
      • Cleaning and organizing the department daily to promote a clean, safe work environment and smoother flow of daily operations.
      • Maintaining and promoting safety and conducting all operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
      • Stocking and suppling inventory daily and assisting with inventory of supplies to maintain proper quantity of materials to perform tasks appropriately.
      • Shipping empty coolers back to clients and other Eurofins labs
      • Conducting all client interaction in an appropriate and professional manner.
      • Other job duties as determined by local management.

      The ideal candidate would possess :

      • Ability to follow office practices and use office equipment
      • Proficient at using computers, word processing software and database software
      • General mathematics
      • Basic composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation
      • Organize work and pay attention to detail
      • Computerized shipping systems
      • Willingness to use personal protective equipment
      • Strong organizational skills
      • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
      • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

      Qualifications

      Basic Minimum Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
      • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
      • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

      Additional Information

      Pay range: $17.75 starting base pay range

      Shifts Available: 1st shift, Monday- Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
