      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform all functions related to the pre-admission of all In/Out Patients and the scheduling of Diagnostic Imaging exams and procedures
      - Coordinate exam resources and accommodate requests for urgent exams with appropriate leads and staff
      - Secure essential authorizations and thoroughly document each account prior to patient admission
      - Initiate financial counseling regarding patient responsibility to enhance the registration process
      - Provide superior customer service and maintain awareness of customer needs

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or equivalent required
      - Basic Medical Terminology required, or course completion within the first year
      - Knowledge of Coordination of Benefits, IPA’s, HMO, PPO, and Authorizations including Medi-Cal and Medicare required
      - Minimum of three years of registration and/or billing experience
      - Excellent written, oral, and listening skills when working with patients and staff

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - One year of Medical Imaging scheduling experience
      - Knowledge of computerized scheduling programs
      - Understanding of healthcare facility operations and patient acuity levels
      - Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
      - Willingness to assist co-workers during peak workloads and short staffing periods
