What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule surgical procedures, anesthesia services, endoscopy procedures, and pre-admission testing appointments, ensuring accuracy of data in the scheduling system
- Maintain a verification log of scheduled procedures and coordinate patient scheduling to ensure adequate resources are available
- Resolve scheduling errors and communicate changes to appropriate personnel
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills while interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
- Obtain and enter CPT and ICD-10 codes for all scheduled cases and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience working in an office environment
- Familiarity with computer systems and scheduling practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or with scheduling procedures
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with healthcare teams
