What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to schedule patient appointments based on physician-specific guidelines and patient preferences
- Collect and maintain accurate patient registration and insurance information to ensure timely payment for services
- Address and resolve patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department as needed
- Process messages related to patient and physician requests, including appointments, referrals, and complaints
- Assist with training initiatives for new hires and contribute to team goals related to contact center metrics
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
- Proficient in medical terminology and computer literacy, including the ability to navigate multiple programs
- Strong communication skills and a customer service orientation
- Ability to meet quality and service goals related to contact center metrics
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting or patient scheduling
- Familiarity with using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for secure internet connections
- Knowledge of appointment scheduling software and systems
