      About this Position:

      This role is focused on database management and development, as well as tool creation in conjunction with providing technical guidance and direction to the team to help improve efficiency of Honda operations. This role will develop and provide actionable information that allows both leaders and associates to make quicker and more informed decisions. Monitoring progress, leading project meetings, preparing and reporting performance against the project, plan versus actual will be critical. The Tech Lead will coordinate with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project, and will actively participate in team development and growth opportunities for associates.

      Responsibilities include:

      · Develop and manage database systems to improve efficiency, reduce manpower, improve consistency and/or resolve a specific problem for Purchasing Technical Division (PTD)

      · Lead collaboration with internal customers/product owners/business analyst to collect specifications, understand problems with database applications, define, explore, and design solutions and database applications to aid in data gathering, solve specific problems, create new processes for work activities, reduce repetitive or time-consuming activities, reduce manual data keying processes, etc.

      · Develop, build, implement and PDCA models and dashboards for use by all levels of the Purchasing and Supply Chain Center organization

      · Lead technical development of team in the areas of database development and analytic tools

      · Present results (including benefits) to senior management as required.

      · Identify business challenges and translate into SMART requirements for AGILE development

      · Lead technical development of team in the areas of database development and analytic tools

      Who we are seeking:

      Required Work Experience:

      · 8- 10 years of experience based upon education, prefer 2 years database development experience

      Required Education:

      · Bachelor’s degree in related field or applicable experience required

      Desired skills:

      · Angular Framework (Typescript/Javasctipt)

      · HTML/CSS

      · Experience with front end development and connecting to data sources

      · Agile development understanding

      · GITHUB

      · Tableau

      · Power BI

      Additional Position Factors:

      · Open office environment

      · Travel 5% to other sites within the organization

      · Virtual position (60% or more) – Home office + Hoteling when at Honda site
