Job Description

- Candidate experienced in publication excellence - policy, publication systems, external best practice, strategic publication planning and broader scientific/medical affairs planning
- Oversee the development and execution of publications plans in compliance with policies as well as with all related good publication practices and guidelines.
- Responsible for raising and maintaining high level of standards for publication practice through the scrupulous respect of an established, auditable process, and transparency of process to involved stakeholders.
- Provide direction to third party vendor relating to compliance with company policies/ standards, any enquiries requiring escalation/ customization, corrections resulting from quality control activities and training of new hires or ongoing therapeutic area/product, as applicable.
- Schedule, manage, and run regular Publication delivery meetings, and assure key discussions and assignments are captured and implemented.
- Development of and oversight of publication repository and publication management systems
- Leadership of a discrete scientific affairs plan

Waltham’s vision is to create a Better World for Pets through healthcare science that delivers value with our partners across the Petcare ecosystem for Mars Inc. Publications are the pinnacle of research, and the foundation of all subsequent communications. It is therefore critical that we have strong process, ensure appropriate Internal review, and adhere to appropriate external guidance. This role will assure the elements mentioned previously, as well as support the development of strategic scientific affairs plans for key projects, and counsel for all stakeholders on publication excellence.

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is:
