- Contribute to development of Global Core Content (GCC) deliverables based on annual GCC plan and timelines
- Appropriately use system of record (i.e., VOLT) for GCC collaboration, review, and approval steps
- Ensure accuracy of scientific content
- Support regional counterparts by serving as a point of contact for specific deliverables/projects
- Develop US scientific resources and/or regionalize GCC for Medical Science Liaison (MSL) resources
- Understand US regulatory landscape and apply expertise to development of scientific resources
- Monitor and analyze medical insights to inform development of scientific content
- Drive and/or support strategy and scientific content development for scientific meetings, including congress deliverables, disease state education programs and developing/adapting scientific content for digital platforms
- Drive and/or support strategy and scientific content development for advisory boards
- Reviewing promotional and educational materials for scientific accuracy
- Develop and maintain Medical Information standard response documents related to Amgen Inflammation
- Support responses to global and US complex Medical Information case issues
- Analyze medical literature to inform medical strategies and tactics
- Effectively manage use of vendors for content development and manage project-associated budgets
- Some travel may be required — approximately 10-20%.
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO with one or more years of experience in clinical research, patient care, Medical/Scientific Affairs, and/or basic research (Other doctorate degrees may be considered)
- Prior experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research experience in the area of Inflammation
- An understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products
- Skill in writing and presenting on scientific and clinical data
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-direction
- Demonstrated track record in a matrix environment with limited supervision
- The ability to work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across corporate functions
- Understanding of disease landscape and clinical data to enable critical analysis of scientific literature and communicate implications cross-functionally
- Prior experience of successfully managing consultants and vendors
- Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products

In this vital role you will be responsible for communicating scientific information on Amgen marketed products and disease states within the Inflammation therapeutic area to the healthcare community, enabling informed decision making for efficient patient care and access to Amgen products, through the development of Global/US scientific and medical communication resources including but not limited to slide decks, clinical/scientific FAQs and medical information letters for Amgen’s Inflammation portfolio. This position offers an opportunity to work in a matrix environment with global and US cross-functional partners, that are passionate about supporting Amgen’s scientific programs.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Master’s degree and 2 years of clinical, academic or industry experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of clinical, academic or industry experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of clinical, academic or industry experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of clinical, academic or industry experience
