      The Role

      The role will be liaising with Wealth Advisers, wider Scrip team, Cash Team, Institutional and Retail Trading desks along with a range of external financial institutions to facilitate trade settlements across NZX, ASX and foreign markets.

      The Scrip team is split into roles holding responsibilities across International, NZX Equity, Fixed Interest and ASX (Wholesale and Retail trading).

      Key responsibilities could include:

      • Facilitating daily trade settlement across various local and international markets

      • Investigating settlement discrepancies with internal and external parties

      • Undertaking of reconciliations for broker trades against internal records

      • Providing trade settlement instructions for custodians

      • Identifying areas of improvement within the team

      • Adhering and complying with audit and compliance requirements

      • Assisting with other roles in the wider Operations team as required


      About You
      Ideally you will have a relevant degree in finance, commerce or accounting or 1-2 years’ experience in settlements or a similar role and a keen interest in the Financial Markets. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate to get your foot in the door for a career within areas such as Investments, Operations or Wealth Management.

      • You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal and be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external clients.

      • You will have great attention to detail, never missing a beat.

      • You will possess strong business acumen and sound judgement, able to pick up anomalies.

      • You will be a fast learner, able to pick up new and complicated systems.

      • You will be a great team player and enjoy working with others.

      • You will have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
