- Scrum Master for a co-located London development team to facilitate/coordinate and coach our software development team.
- Agile Coaching role to help transform our teams from Waterfall to Agile. Including coaching, Training and Agile support while also coaching our technology and Business.
Scrum Master:
- Coordinate team sprints, planning, product backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospective and Sprint demo meetings for one London Development team.
- Coach team members in Agile and lean techniques to self-improve as a team
- Facilitate internal team communication and effective collaboration.
- Be the point of contact for the team for stakeholder and partner communications
- Drive the collaboration and communication with global sibling development teams including common standards and Scrum of Scrums.
- Work with product owner and business SMEs to handle backlogs and new requests.
- Resolve conflicts. remove blockers preventing the team hitting the definition of Done.
- Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it. Create a dynamic Agile culture and team spirit.
- Guide the development teams to higher scrum maturity and review the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done. Pushing engineering quality, productivity and enjoyment.
Agile Coaching:
- Help with the end-to-end plan for rolling out Agile methodology across Custody Technology globally, assessing team performance and coaching them with Agile, and ensuring this Agile methodology is followed by all teams for their product development.
- Plan, implement and guide Custody Technology teams in the adoption of Agile software development practices such as writing stories, scrum meetings, coaching, planning.
- Recommend and provide internal and external training, and coach teams on JIRA and the Agile methodology and scrum practices, regularly assessing the Agile and Scrum maturity of the teams through retrospectives, metrics, and coach the team to higher levels of maturity.
- Working closely with stakeholder in the business (Product and Operations) in coaching and training them in becoming Agile and their vital role in making this a success with a partnership between Technology, Product and Operations.
- Assist with the structuring of projects within JIRA through the usage of initiatives, epics, stories, subtasks, releases, components, etc.
- 5+ years’ experience executing the Agile software development methodology, operating in the role of Scrum Master one / multiple teams and understanding the goal of helping the development become a high performing team.
- Experience of completing Agile transformation in other organisations from Waterfall.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Lead through facilitation and co-ordination bringing the teams through together in the Agile Journey.
- Experience of working within Scrum master guilds across an organisation to set, improve standards while helping coach and mentor other Scrum Masters.
- Strong Jira and Confluence experience and knowledge in set-up, best practise especially around portfolio structure (Initiatives, Epics and Stories/Defects) while approaches
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
