What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist clients in configuring the employer's products and understanding their features
- Troubleshoot complex search issues related to Lucene/Solr
- Document solutions in knowledge base articles for customer reference
- Identify opportunities to provide additional value to customers through follow-on products and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose and resolve critical issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with search technologies such as Apache Lucene/Solr
- 3+ years of professional experience in a customer-facing level 2-3 tech support role
- Proficiency with Java and one or more common scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.) and Kubernetes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS or higher in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience with technical support CRM systems (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)
- Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Exposure to other open-source projects and commercial search technologies
