- Printing and application of inventory identification tags on all finished goods coming off the production lines.
- Assists senior taggers in executing recasing finished goods inventory depletions or adjustments. Responsible for other inventory transfers when reworks are completed as well as other inventory activities.
- Keep organized data of which tags have been created and of inventory that has not been voided.
- Notifies Warehouse and Production Supervisors of any issues with the finished product or mislabeling.
- Relieves other tag operators for their breaks in a timely manner and assist others as needed.
- Requires one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent of the following: Microsoft Office Word, Excel (familiar with Pivot Tables), Outlook; PeopleSoft (ability to run reports and analyze inventory tags); and/or Bolton (ability to understand DPS Entry Detail, generate inventory tags and audit PID’s.
- Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and speak English and follow verbal and written commands.
- Requires reliability and an excellent attendance record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a seasonal Warehouse Tagger at our Toma-Tek facility in Firebaugh, CA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
Summary: Provides continuous uninterrupted supply of properly prepared finished goods to be shipped. Prepare all shipment tags, maintain the work area in a clean orderly manner, and perform other duties as assigned. Assist with warehouse operations and production needs. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, union position, supporting our fresh pack season, typically June – October.
