What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform accessibility validation testing and remediation for various document formats
- Generate closed captioning and transcripts for videos
- Provide graphic design, formatting, and layout assistance
- Design and publish high-quality content primarily for print media
- Transform existing content into engaging products
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, communication, or related field
- Three to five years of relevant work experience in accessibility testing and remediation
- Thorough understanding of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
- Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- DHS Trusted Tester certification
- IAAP and CPASS certifications
- Experience with CommonLook
- Creative and innovative artistic talent
- Demonstrated fluency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
