What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform security administration to configure and document firewall infrastructure access rules
- Manage firewall deployments, rule migrations, and firewall administration
- Develop and maintain documentation following NIST guidelines
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
- Provide direct support to business and IT staff for security-related issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4 to 6 years of combined IT and security work experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience with information security tools based on NIST standards
- Knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all existing computer platforms
- Experience using schematic diagramming tools to map infrastructure layouts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Palo Alto or Checkpoint security products
- Familiarity with cloud network infrastructure and security policies
- Previous involvement in developing enterprise security strategies
- Ability to coach more junior staff members
- Experience in evaluating products and procedures to enhance productivity
